Surrendering

As truth opens within,
A heart bleeds.
Disappointment streams,
Finding weakness of deeds.

Once slave to opinions,
Released, serving anew
Deafness to doubt,
Standing with a few

Hearing a gentle voice,
Faint beneath
No comfort in change,
Step beyond, leave the barren reef.

The wounded heart,
Surviving to heal
Love, joy
Beginning to feel.

No anxious excite,
Swelling of the breast.
Surrendered, at peace
A place finding rest.
